ELeven years ago today (1 November 2016) a truly historic night in the UEFA Champions League group stage saw City defeat Barcelona 3-1. Despite Lionel Messi putting Barcelona ahead early on, Pep Guardiola masterminded City’s first-ever competitive victory over his boyhood club. Ilkay Gündogan scored twice, and Kevin De Bruyne curled in a brilliant free-kick to secure a landmark continental win. I took these photos from my regular seat.
