As the Premier League’s first season neared some newspapers challenged those behind football’s new league. Here’s a cutting from 14 June 1992 which quotes the Football Trust. They were unhappy because money had been given to clubs to help transform their stadia into all-seater grounds and then the clubs imposed significant price rises.
